Lexie Pauli

It's not easy to say goodbye
The wind flies through my ears
Like a whisper it flies
I am done losing
Losing people
Friends at most
Losing my way
Losing everything everyone
That makes me smile
I no longer believe that this better
Better than before
Oh what a lie
I am hypophrenic most times
But now I know
I know why I feel this way
I have lost
I always lose
Lose these battles
I lose who I care about
It hurts more than anything else
I will lose everything before I rise again
I cannot change the choices of those around me
All I can do is try
Try to feel better
Try not to lose
But I know the truth
I will be forgotten
Left for dead
Left alone
Forgotten by those I love most
Left with a fake smile across my lonely face
Just to avoid the questions
The pain everything
I hope that if I smile long enough I will be happy
But that's like dreaming to jump off a cliff and fly
But once you take that step
You're gone
Left for dead left with your thoughts
Every regret runs through your mind
As you smile to others
Your heart cries
Your mind blames you
Every word tells you
You will lose everything
No one really cares
Stop trying
You're already forgotten
You are losing

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Out of the bosom of the Air
Out of the cloud-folds of her garments shaken,
Over the woodlands brown and bare,
Over the harvest-fields forsaken,
Silent, and soft, and slow
