Lost Poem by Mac Diez

Lost

In the mainstream society,
I've always been lost,
Wanting a way out,
Whatever the cost,
From the others, completely isolated,
Unable to make many true friends,
I feel the weight of my isolation
Wearing on my mind.

Nowadays kids of all ages are with someone
And I've never felt the warmth of a woman
I've only felt the bitterness
Of unceasing loneliness
I've only felt the rain,
My emotions being numbed by the hidden pain
Which even though at times I'm not aware,
Is always there.

I have loved,
But never being loved
Has taken its toll
Making me feel less
For everything under the sun
And wonder if I'll ever have fun
Sometimes I just want to smash my skull,
Ending an existence so dull.

But I can't stand down,
I can't give in
Or my life will crash down,
And I'll never win
So I will keep going,
Because there's someone for everybody
And if I keep searching,
One day I will be found.
