Lost Amidst Poem by Juan Olivarez

Lost Amidst

Rating: 5.0

Lost amidst the joy of birth,
The smiles, the laughter,
The cigars being passed out,
The numerous good intentions,
The cards and letters,
The phone calls and well wishes,
Is the unmentionable truth,
The child, will one day cease to be.

Lost amidst the tears of death,
The sorrow and the pain,
The floral arrangements,
The numerous good intentions,
The cards and letters,
The phone calls and well wishes,
Is a simple truth.
A human soul is now at peace in paradise,
Such is the human condition.

A straight to the point write - bang on truth, and so well penned.

We have to stop and take stock of life from time to time or it will pass us by too, too quickly, a well written piece,

The alpha and omega of life. A brief interlude and we're gone. Well thought out-made me pause and reflect
