Lost Hope Poem by Jock Ridi

To be with he or not to be
sounds so poetic but's purely just tease
dangle the carrot, play with the words
but avoid all forms of contact, i.e. DO NOT DISTURB
such a shame to play such games with a friend
especially one who still cares till the end
but that's all irrelevant if all 'hope is lost'
message is clear, this friend's no loger needed no matter the cost
guess I'm the fool for believing this too
reality is that this dream's untrue
for this my heart will forever remain blue
