Lost Little Turtle Poem by Ricky June Espanueva

Lost Little Turtle

Once there was a turtle, he belongs to the sea.
A burden in his back is very unwieldy,
He fell in a hole, he's very unwary;
He's carried by waves, conjured the catastrophe.

Search the little turtle that is lost in the sea,
He's the creature no one would wish to be.
He saw his reflection and stated his plea
Lucky is the tree than the turtle lost in the sea.

Little turtle crawling for countless days,
Injured little one can no longer take one more pace.
The once smooth, is now a wounded carapace
How would he ever win this race?

Poor little turtle is left behind the sea,
He reckoned to be lost because she just couldn't see;
This turtle made an attempt to be noticed by she
But she just passed, leaving him casualty.

So the turtle decided to move by now,
Constantly too slow and he doesn't know how.
His wound is unfixable burrow.
Though he is trying, but he can't let go;

'Cause the little turtle was drowned in the sea,
Suffering day and night, gnashing in agony.
He lost everything; he dreamt that soon he'd be free.
He's left unseen in the ocean of misery.
