Lost Love Poem by Valerie Anderson

Lost Love

My love is lost for no one to see,
He is far away gone, gone unto me.
Why could he leave me, for no one to save?
That butthead, scourdrel, and knave.

How could he be so mean?
For he was everything, from handsome to lean.
He was everything I was searching for,
He was my destiny and oh, so much more.

I thought I loved him,
But he is in the past and just a mere whim.
I thought he loved me,
For my heart was the safe and his words were the key.

I wish he was here,
To help soothe, all my overwhelming fears.
No where to run, no where to hide,
He was the only person to whom I could confide.

So, he left me for that road to roam,
His secret will always lie untold.
I will never know why,
He did those things, fight, drink and lie.

So, if you see that man I love,
Tell him this from me.
I love you much and miss you so,
So come back home to me.
