Lost Love Poem by jordan erickson

Lost Love

Rating: 5.0

If my heart is sightful,
Then why must I have eyes?
If my soul is the only useful
Thing, then why are these hands mine?

If my heart is broken,
Are the tears that fall from my eyes,
The only token,
Needed to pay for my try?

Aparrently Not, my heart still burns every time
I hear that name of thine.
Will this pain ever siese?
Oh no, please.

Now I shall hide my heart,
Hold a memory,
Never to part.

What does a promise
Mean to a false hearted lover?
Now that my heart is hidden I’ll never have to think of a compromise,
A small prize,
For loosing the one who I could never
Get out of my mind.

Never before did I say this,
To be with you is bliss.
Never before did this be done by my hand
My heart shall lay where you let it land

As I may have said earlier
Love makes the world look pearlier.
But once the illusion is gone
Once is all said and done,
It returns to rocky,
And unlucky.

As am I.
Never again shall I kiss,
Never again shall I miss,
Never again will I cry.
Never again shall I gripe,
Never again shall I write!

No, No, No,
Never again never
And never, lasts forever!

Until my heart is still,
may my will,
be strong,
as is the lovers in the song.

Even as pain stings,
I shall hide it and pretend to be happy enough to sing.
I shall try.
Please do not let your eyes
Leak a tear, or try to pry,
For all you will receive are lies.
