Lost Love Poem by Moana Tuigamala

Lost Love

How could I ever face you now?
How would I tell you all that I hold back?
How can I l ive on without you?
How can I fight this strong attack?

Everytime I find happiness,
Sorrow is always their at the door,
Ready to snatch 'em all away from me,
Ready to steal what I was looking forward for.

My poor heart and your fragile heart,
Together I'll be putting them in my fate,
The last thing that I'd ever do,
To have you go through what you hate.

I would never, ever want to hurt you,
And I mean NEVER!
Even thinking of it gives me the chill,
But to keep me hangin' is for the better.

Keep me hangin' in this world of pretence,
In this world of sympathy.
The freedom I lack, and even happiness,
Happiness I thought that would last for eternity.

I thought I was a strong person,
But as this heart beats I get weaker.
Knowing that it has no one to beat for.
Knowing that I lost the love I was fighting for.
