Lost Soul Poem by Emma Jane Pearson

Lost Soul

Walk away from that lost soul,
Pretend that you're a painted picture hanging on a wall,
Kiss these silent dreams goodbye;
For this is the last night.
Promise me this is the end;
Breathless worn out lungs and memories
Don’t let me feel a thing.
Scars are left in the past,
And the present is stuck in pause;
Now the future will never come.
So heel the heart with a blunt knife stuck in,
And walk away from the pain.

Walk away from that lost soul,
Which is buried deep behind you;
Be a painted picture stuck,
And frozen in time.
Kiss these silent dreams goodbye,
And welcome the eternal nightmares;
For this is the last night.

I promise the angels will come down,
And heal the scars;
Just pretend these dreams are silent,
And not screaming out for sanity.
Kiss the last night goodbye;
Scatter it in the past,
And bury it with all of the memories.
And Let the silence of the future catch up.
