Loud Tonight… Poem by Mousheera Shafik

Nay…
That's what I'd probably say,
Nay, nay, naaaaaaaay
Screaming and saying it out loud
I won't run in circles,
I won't be bound..
I'd listen to the noisy tinkles..
That rebel within is gushing,
Um making it alive tonight,
It's plenty and rushing,
Um so loud and bright,
I know how delicate I was
And how smooth,
But it's over, and it shows,
No smooth again and um that bruised….
So let it be Naaaaaaaaaay,
For nothing is okaaaaaaaay
Nothing can content me tonight,
My mutiny is raged, my enthusiasm is alight,
heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey
I'll scream and shout
heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey
That's what is all about,
Um too loud that you can't handle,
Um so bright like a million candles,
And if you asked me again to stay,
That's what I'd probably say;
No, nein, non, naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
And come what may
I don't care
For you have left before,
Leaving me cold and bare,
Don't ask me when i will come back…
I shall never return,
Um wearing my white fluffy sack,
That flies and makes sparks burn,
Um wearing the crown,
Um the princess of my own,
I shall never go down,
Um the princess of the dawn,
Never I shall ever drown,
And I can never be alone,
How is it possible to drown..! !
And the ocean is my friend,
How is it possible to be alone tonight..!
And stars are my fellows till no further end,
How is it possible to feel fright..!
And the air is caressing and with my scent do blend..
Any way..
That's what I have to say,
Um no longer in love with you,
No way…
For you left without even telling a reason why
I shall smile :) I shall never die,
I know that there must be a day,
That I'd die and go away,
But then it'll be a matter of a flesh,
But my soul will stay,
It'll always be young and fresh,
In many ones…
Women,
Men,
Infants,
And then..
I'll be there in their smiles,
Their giggles while the play,
For sure I'd stay,
I'll stay,
I'll remain…
And any way…
I'll say it again.
Nay….
Nay to a broken heart,
Nay for falling apart,
Say nay to what you do not believe in,
And refused to give in,
I said nay to that slavery of your hopeless love,
I said nay for your desertion,
You surrendered to your wounds and fears,
And deserted me alone with tears,
This pain I shall never forget,
Besides I will never complain,
My big journey is now to be set,
And never will I ever return again,
For I begged so long for your love,
And you stayed pushing me away…
I loved you, that's what you were sure of,
And that's why um saying Nay,
For you refused to get over the boundaries,
And now you are a pile of memories,
I won't long to you,
Not any more..
I won't desire you,
And what for?
For you have gone away?
And therefore,
Again I'd say..
Nay my love
Nay
I know I seem so wild tonight,
That would be okay,
I'd say nay at least for tonight,
Only that night and then I'll make it okay..

Hey,
By the way,
I forgot,
I shall make tonight as a matter of a life time
