Love.... Poem by Sandeep Mandal

Love....

Love is lost love gained
Gloomy yesterday today entertained
Income and expenditure
A perfect balance sheet
Both shareholders happy
A win win cheat.

Like an abandoned child laments love
Huddled up on a wintry night against the club
'All these men and women in vibrant shades
Raise shapes made of both silica and flesh
Drink harder and harder until it hits the bladder
Until the last peg hammered down in loud moan
Until done with love they look for another'
The lament tore my heart apart
Into thousand ruptured pieces
While these folks thus act smart
Long forgotten I still cherish those kisses
Light as a feather planted on your forehead
Before stepping back to let you go ahead.

Love isn't lost love isn't gained
Love isn't invested love isn't returned
Love isn't borrowed love isn't lent
Love isn't saved love isn't spent.
Love is rather less about human being
But more about the being in human
Omnipresent in all large and tiny thing
A language the rose and the rain speak
Speaks your pet for the warmth to seek
A resonating vibration of fiery ripples
Only to pervade across different souls
Establishing a communication so deep
No matter how close or distant you live.

Love is about transcending mundane barrier
While still staying inside the human sphere
Love is about being simply spontaneous
Sometimes right sometimes erroneous
Never to be blamed or ever to be cursed
Not a deal but an experience to be nursed
To let it bloom into an everlasting flower
That sustains on a never ending shower.
