Love Poem by Maryanne Richards

Love

Rating: 3.5

The years have gone so quickly,
It seems like yesterday
That the light that shone so brightly
Was taken away.

You showed me what it was to live
In simplicity and love.
As learning flowed between us
You never spoke a word.
Your truth was freely given
It was there for all to hear
And in that timeless, spaceless place
Things were made clear.

The world could do with more like you
But alas we do not hear.
For the love that shines that light so bright
Needs no words,
And simplicity has no fear.

I am deeply moved by just a single line of your poem, indeed the last line: 'And simplicity has no fear.' - A well perceived wisdom of life. Over all, the poem has a soft ambiance of love, 'the love that shines that light so bright', and I like it so much! The title of the poem draws, and the poem itself, with love flowing freely through it, soothes me. The poem deserves a rating of 10/10, and I am so pleased to give it!
