Love
What does the word love
conjure in your mind?
Hearts, flowers, joy,
and does it make you blind?
Gentle walks, arm in arm,
gazing into their eyes.
But love has a darker side,
built upon hurt and lies.
For every rosey sunny day,
and tender loving kiss.
There is a blacker side.
then anyone could wish.
Love is built upon a trust
that at the start, is complete.
But when this trust is broken,
love lies shattered, at your feet.

Indeed, I agree with you. The word of Love is so difficult to comprehend. It's so sweet sometimes but it's also bitter. It's so hot, but it's also very cold. Thank you for sharing this poem.
