Love Poem by john (called jack) wren

Love

Love is tolerant, patient and kind
It trusts but is sometimes blind,
It will protect and persevere and
Help to wipe away each tear.

Love is our faith in the God we know
And in the seed our Saviour will sow,
It is not proud, nor does it boast and
Given by Our Lord, as He loves most.

Love will give expecting no gain
And will listen and not inflame,
It's the smile that says don't worry
And always forgive, and say I'm sorry.

It is the weapon to oppose the foe
In the heart it will grow and grow,
It's at the first sound of a child crying
And holding the hand, of a loved one dying.

It cannot be hidden its in our eyes
And cannot be silent it's in our sighs,
It's alive in the gaze that sets heart ablaze.

We are made in love, live our life in love,
Die in peace in His love,
No greater gift a man can give than to lay down
His life, so others may live.
Our Lord Jesus brought us faith and hope
But his Greatest Gift is

LOVE
