Love, A Phonograph Poem by Ragy Sandid

Love, A Phonograph

It was a discovery
Without a patent
A sudden recovery
Humanity’s repent

It recorded affairs
Made it official
However far and rare
Made it special

Now to confess
Instead of hiding
Become more instead of less
Wonder in confiding

But the static sound
Broke the record
Too low or too loud
An hour that can’t stand a second

Say what you will
It was new
There was a void to fill
How full of sound and fury can love make you?
