Love Among The Leaves Poem by Susan Oxford

Love Among The Leaves

Rating: 5.0

Together we stroll, hand in hand,
awash in the beauty of this autumn land.
The colors so bright-yellow and red,
covering the ground with a leafy bed.

The leaves dance along in the autumn breeze,
falling and floating from the towering trees.
We leave the road and climb a hill,
under the trees it is quiet and still.

You look at the leaves and give me a wink,
down to their blanket we slowly sink.
My head on your shoulder we look at the sky,
admiring the view as the leaves float by.

We roll together in a loving embrace,
I gaze in your eyes, desire on your face.
In a quick moment we are skin to skin,
we revel in the love we are deeply in.

As the autumn breeze blows the leaves nearby,
we move and stroke to a shuddering sigh.
Softly we kiss, our passion fed,
content on the ground on our leafy bed.
