Love And Depression Poem by Jack Smith

Love And Depression

Oh dear, I have found love
She doesn't have a plan
We fit like hand-in-glove
She's from Afghanistan

My love, you are so dear
You're not from planet Earth
You're feelings are unclear
You don't know your own worth

She told me how she feels
I'm nearly on the brink
Of ending my dull life
This is what, she must think;

I'm socially inept
And awkardly adept
At apathetic
Expression

Emotions omitted
A mind, tailor-fitted
To cope with my
Depression

But she's misunderstood
And so, I think, have I
I tried to sum it up
This is, my life defined;

There is a fine line between love and obsession
And the 'fine line' is finer
Between love and depression
