Love And Loss Poem by Elvira Groenendijk

Love And Loss

I close my eyes and i still see you
picking flowers on the heath
wishing one day i could be you
the beautifull stories you have bequeath

but nature could just wait no longer
to take you back from me
you showed me how to be stronger
and what i could one day be

you loved to hear the birds sing
their songs of joy and bliss
now they all whistle a hymn
for the one i miss

now you're gone but still in heaven
picking flowers in the heath
a smile will be on my face when
i think of the stories you have bequeath

an angel send from heaven
to share your warmth and love
you'll be in my heart forever
my guardian angel up above

like a star you are now shining still light into my life
i still can see you glowing, a light that'll always thrive
you thought me to be caring, full of joy and full of love
my greatest inspiration, my guardian angel up above

This is indeed, a very beautiful poem about your loved one. When death does come, our life becomes anew in God's Paradise of Heaven. I am sorry for your loss, but you seem know, as you should, that he is still right there is your heart. Thank you for sharing that heart with others.
