Love And Lust Poem by James Pritchard

Love And Lust

Love is a mysterious thing,
About which poets write and singers sing,
And even many preachers try to preach,
But who can really true love teach?

Are love and lust the same?
What is for love to blame?
Comes out of lust jsut shame?
Is love jsut a game?

Lust is just playtime,
And isn't really worth a dime.
While in love you often play,
But you mostly mean what you say.

Love is being with the person you want,
Even if all the others you therefore taunt.
Lust is leaving her in a sec,
you have so many in your deck.

Love is only having one queen of your heart,
And feeling emptiness when she depart.
Lust is having seven or eight,
And caring about them all to late.

Lust will someday end,
And you will be left without a friend.
Love is something that lasts forever,
You should always be together.
