Love And Suicide. Poem by Jodie Louise Pollock

Love And Suicide.

Her arms fold around you in a loving embrace,
As you wish and pray that her touch would leave it's trace,
Showering you with love with each whispered reassurance,
Doubt hidden behind love, knowing it's a repeated occurrence,
Holding on tight, you never want to be left free,
Tears drowning your eyes, making it impossible to see,
Your irregular heart beat losing control,
Beating against her chest, she can feel your soul,
Her eyes betray her as inside she cries,
Broken promises, broken hearts, unforgivable lies,
Blood turning blue as the tears fall from each face,
Hearts beating together with the same maddening pace,
Grasping your shoulders, she looks right into your eyes,
Seeing love hidden behind pain, deep down she sighs,
One tear rolls freely down as she holds your terrified gaze,
Memories drowning your eyes, thinking of you’re wanted last days,
Knowing and understanding your thoughts she keeps hold of you there,
Her eyes flooded with love, concern and tenderly care,
Her hands grip your shoulders, holding you tight,
As your body relaxes into a deep never ending night,
Realising its too late she chokes back her screams,
Never letting go. But losing grip at the seams.
