Love And Wine Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Love And Wine

Rating: 3.3

A peg of wine works divine
When you are not there
And I see your face in the moon
The climate is hot
Let me take countless pegs
And in happy memory I must swoon

My heart is in sorrow
Let me drink as much as I like
For she left without a word
Not to another lover
But to a world beyond this world
A return from there is hard

I do not need to have a mind
That is conscious of her presence
And throat must take sip after sip
With her face in my heart
Her songs ringing in my mind
Let me die and my love silently drip
