Love.Dance.Fire. Poem by Weldon Davis

Love.Dance.Fire.

Once there was a land whose most precious
Natural resources were Love, Dance, and Fire

Here's to a land
Made of
Love, dance, and fire
Beautiful villas
Quiet siestas
Ocean front views
Captivating

The people are beautiful
Rightfully so
In the land of
Love, dance, and fire

Nothing is taboo
Inviting you to join
To salsa
To congo
To mambo
To rumba
Like your life
Depended on it
Who's to say it doesn't? (J/k)

The food abundant
Splendid
Care-free
Where you can
Meet the person
Of your dreams
On the avenue
Or in the disco

Tan skin
Bodies kissed
By the sun
Bathed in euphoria
As you bask
In the light
In the laughter
In the land
Of
Love
Dance
And
Fire
