I thought love was the greatest treasure on earth,
The most precious gift in this entire universe..
A soothing balm for all our pains..
Which brings smile, happiness and bliss always..

Yet love could not rescue me in my troublesome times..
Love could not protect me from the people cursing me..
Love could not protect me from the people crushing me...
Love could not protect me from the people abusing me...
Love could not console me when people loathed me..
Love could not help me when I felt very low...
Love could not make me come of my morbid thoughts when I felt like dying...
Love could not make me feel the bliss in my sorrows...
Love deserted me when I needed it the most...
Love left me lonely whenever bad happened to me..
