Love Eternal Poem by Diwakar Bhatt

Love Eternal

Rating: 4.5

The vow I take to love you forever till my last,
Every word I speak, confirm an attitude die cast.

Eternity would still be insufficient, I proclaim,
New word to be coined to exemplify my claim.

You dwell in me as the tender part of my soul,
Transcendental phenomenon to feel as a whole.

Your physical presence distracts my love true,
Detaching from attachment all I would pursue.

Pleasure in pain of separation I undertake to feel,
Rather than an embrace seductive, I firmly reveal.

I revel in the beautiful memories of the time gone,
When we walked the sinuous paths in every dawn.

Time passed by, never to come back, untamed,
Took our youth, our strength, but love remained.

At times you lent me your shoulder to take rest,
When tired of ups and downs to reach the crest.

Blisters too could not restrain your zeal to win,
Spirit of love kept you move to the end with a grin.

You always remained a companion truthfully ever,
The Sole reason, to be successful in every endeavor.

Who will be freed first from these shackles earthly,
Nobody knows, but with love etched in hearts indelibly.
