Love From Sea To Sea Poem by stephanie varnadore

Love From Sea To Sea

The waves brake against the sand
As we walk hand in hand.
The great gas ball going down,
Your smile turns into a frown.
I turn to you and ask what is wrong:
Oh I wish would break into song!
Your lips move and I begin to reel,
"I cannot help what I feel.
Things need to change, you and me! "
I begin to cry and could not see.
You gently wipe away my tears,
At your touch, red went to my ears.
"Juliet, you are an amazing girl,
You are a precious pearl."
You stop as more tears fall,
There was not going to be a siren call.
Suddenly my heart began to sink,
"Lately I've had time to think,
And this is what I came to:
I cannot live without you."
Then you got down on one knee,
"Will you marry me? "
Now I was in total shock,
The ring looked beautiful inside its box.
Gently your I caress,
As I tell you yes.
On my finger you placed the ring.
In my head, angels sing.
With no beat to miss,
We came together for the perfect kiss.
Unseen spectators erupted with glee,
As the moon rose over the sea.
