Love Is Blind Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Love Is Blind

Rating: 5.0

Love is blind
the wise do say
I like the way they think
that way

Believe it's true
You will find
that true love
really is blind

Becasue true love
is truly felt in the heart
You feel it deep down
It doesn't ever part

Some find that love is blue
I've found this to be true
But greater wisdom does remind
that Love is Blind!

That love does not depend
on simple appearance or beauty,
things that disappear or have an end,
is the blessing of true love; not pretend

Lustful love is not lasting
It's fleeting and passing
But true love comes only to a few
If so, then lucky are you.

And if it ever does
I think you'll find
that love is held in the heart
where love is blind

The greatest love is held deep inside
It reaches out and only hopes to find
Cannot be confined; Wasn't so defined
But it's true: Love is Blind!

It's only love that does forever bind
That lingers sofly on the mind
long after other things unravel and unwind
True love is blind, I think you'll find!
