Love Is Not A Many Splendid Thing Poem by victoria driver

Love Is Not A Many Splendid Thing

Without you here by my side,
I felt as though my heart had died.
Everyday my world turned black,
I never thought I'd get you back.

A month I waited to hear your voice,
But we didn't have a choice.
It killed us both to say goodbye,
I never knew that I could cry.

And then a light within the dark,
Your loving words a lifesaving spark.
My heart started beating more than ever,
When I knew our love would last forever.

We've turned a corner; started again,
We'll never have to feel that pain.
I know now that this is fate,
To fall for you, my true soul mate.

I love you baby; I can no longer
Pretend it isn't getting stronger.
You fill my heart; make me complete,
When I'm not worthy to kiss your feet.

But here's to us, the star struck lovers,
Nothing can stop us when we have each other.
Think It'll go bad? I'll give you a clue,
Nothing can stop us, not now I love you.
