Love Lost In Lifes Gain

Rating: 4.5

Has my heart fell to a distant land?
A treasure buried deep within the sand
The reading of a compass shows no sign
For what’s forgotten is lost in time

His hands ran through my hair
His eyes never left my stare
I was his and he was mine
A touch, a taste was lover’s design

It was mine, but mine was ours
A strong desire to build our empire
All to fast came quickly demise
To break the bond, making feuds arise

Now its gone, regret is here
To blind the good and bring the fear
Alone I sit, wishing time would erase
To bring back our lovers’ ways

Will I ever find it again?
Or is this just lifes game?
To experience the worst and come out the best
And be able to handle and fight the rest
For love pulls tricks; it’s too late to defend
As the beginning soon turns into the end
