'i love you'
i said it first
waiting for you to
repeat it
but you stand
there stiff like a deer caught
by the cars headlights
the minute, hte second
it comes out my mouth
you tense, and
let go of me
you take a step
back and i listen
for you to say
those special words back
i stand there
my eyes starting to tear up
the tears overfill
and start to spill
i stand there
in the dark
crying, everything
is blury, i cant
see you anymore
but i can feel
your presence
i feel you moving
towards me and
your arms start
to encircle me,
i can feel
your warm breath
on my ear
my heart starts to jump,
the blood is rushing
through my veins my arms get goosebumps
and i hear your
lips part and i hear yo
say those three loving
words i have craved
'i love you'
it sounds like
an angel is
talking to me
my heart slows,
my veins are
back to normal, because
i am relived to
know that you
'love me'
