Love Me Like This Poem by Aria Ellen

Love Me Like This

Love like a child
Who is clinging to his mother
Nails digging into her legs.
Like a white water raft
Pouring down a merciless river
Battered but still whole.
Like rain droplets
Soaking into the earth
Experts at being held.
Like ink penetrating paper
With loving gestures
Tenderness replacing emptiness.
Like a farmer
Threading his rough hands
Through the silk of his golden corn.
Like the sun
Which means nothing
Without someone to shine on.

Love me like this.
Love me like this.
