Love Me Still Poem by me poet yeps poet

Love Me Still

Rating: 4.0

Smoulder me not, yet
your smile alone envelops
all lovers must be like you
electrifying too

ere in the lightning
in the sky
they are embellished
and love your smile
all my while

but let me enjoy,
my dear poet
my home on Earth
till we or our souls meet
as per your desire since birth

till then within me
ignite a warm fire
as I smoulder and merge
with you entire

burn me not in your love’s fire
let me enjoy my life
yet ere the pyre
your smile and love all the more
I'd admire

if you also encompass me
as in love we both fire
to become ashes for ever
to commemorate
your intense burning desire
