Love Me When I'M Old Poem by Jackie A. Strange

Love Me When I'M Old

Rating: 5.0

I beg of you, my dearest
Love me when I am old
When my thoughts do not leap from my mouth
But hide in the membranes in my subconscious.

Love me when I'm old
When the lines in my face
Reflect the years I have laughed with you
And the years I have loved you.

Love me when I'm old
When the beauty of my face
And the light in my eyes
Have now taken their rightful place in my soul.

Remember that my voice, my beauty
That vastness of my heart
Are my gifts to you
For having loved me when I was young.
