Love My Child Poem by Ronald Strickland

Love My Child

Rating: 3.5

I was awoken by the sound of heavy cold winter rain
as it echoed its loud song that the day belonged
to those who would dare have a need to be in its grasp.
Curtains danced & fluttered about
as the wind came through a broken window pain.
In my thoughts I could see my children all around me.
On this wintry day I am filled with grace,
but my heart is saddened for my girls the Lord had to take.
Love you, Girls!
