Love Remains Poem by Mary Rodriguez

Love Remains

Rating: 5.0

Once happy with the life I was living
Now feeling I live in a vast oblivion
I never dreamt I could feel a love as deep as ours
Sending our hearts soaring high above the stars
How quickly things can change, in the blink of an eye
My soul depleted as I violently cry
Can you not see how much you mean to me?
Was I just dreaming what I wanted it to be?
Your voice, that once consumed me, has since been replaced
Now the silence between us taunts me, making my thoughts race
Back and forth I've searched my soul
You're the only one who makes me feel whole
I don't want us to ever part
It would leave me here with a broken heart
I'd cross this crazy world for you
There's so much more things we have yet to do
Feel the love I have inside
Our feelings we should not have to hide
I'll do whatever it takes to turn this around
I promised from the start to never let you down
Somewhere through the pain
I know our love remains
Say you'll give us one more try
I'm not ready to have to say goodbye
