Love's Eyes Poem by Layla Norman

I had a strange feeling
when i looked in his eyes
like i'd have no more tears
and i'd have no more cries

It was such a strange feeling
that it tore me apart
and his eyes seemed to see through me
and straight into my heart

Could he see how i felt?
I thought i could hide
but, Lord, how those eyes
seemed to see straight inside

His eyes alone were deep
they were dark but also nice
they seemed to mystify
but also to entice.

They sucked me in
and held me from that day
and when i looked in them
i could find nothing to say

He had so many good things
and he hasn't lost a one
but his eyes are still as deep
as when our relationship had begun.
