Love's Goal Poem by Jennifer Rose

Love's Goal

Broken and alone
Spoon fed lies for years
So many things left undone
Her eyes welcoming tears

No one to turn to
All but to you
Her skin turns blue
All she thought a bout was you two

You let her down
She thought you meant more
But she feels like a clown
Taking her heart, you tore

This was just a game
Lips quivering in pain
She was so tame
You put the path to be lain

The rope you wove
The knot you tied
The chair you placed
The life you took

You broke her innocence
By giving her the biggest sin
Or just committing murder
As you took another life, Love
