Love's Hug Poem by Michelle Hyde

Love's Hug

My heart races as you draw near.
Your touch is like lightening,
Sparks send shivers everywhere.
My knees grow weak as you pull me near.
Thunder echoes in my ears.

My heart melts,
Warmth and love,
Fill my body.
The world stands still;
As you embrace me.

Slowly, you pull away.
A pain echoes in the center of my chest.
I shiver once more.
Sadness creeps in where warmth was.

You take my hand.
I smile.
