They walk hand-in-hand
The young girl and boy.
People walk by,
They think, 'cute couple'.
Nothing more, nothing less.
What they have been through,
To be there, together.
She leans against a picnic table,
He sings her favourite song.
She smiles at his amazement.
He kisses the top of her head,
And pulls her close.
With his arms around her.
They finally made it,
To happiness.
As they walk away,
The people who walk by,
Hear the love song in their hearts
