Love Sonnet 148: 'I Once Boast That A Thousand Spears' Poem by Reyvrex Questor Reyes

Love Sonnet 148: 'I Once Boast That A Thousand Spears'

I once boast that a thousand spears can't pierce,
This agile heart that flaunts its loveless bliss,
But now, results infer, you did coerce,
Confused my language with your touch and kiss:
Naive to deem, that speechless, I'd say more,
Drift downstream did my chance, so with my luck;
A coward, I twice died before your door,
But thanks, the way towards is free of muck;
Yet, you became so scarce, to leave no clues,
That left me gazing at a moonless sky;
Bring back my dawn, with all its vibrant hues,
Show me the sunset, and the reason why:
.......As Winter comes in ripeness it would bring,
.......It surpasses with ease, the joys of spring.
