Love Sonnet 187: 'How Will I Find The Likely Words To Say? '

How will I find the likely words to say?
As though in poems that gild the words as true,
And worthy to be heard the grandest way,
To sing of mirth although appearing blue;
I'll speak of roses to portray your smile,
Or glowing dawns and skies to paint your face,
Or seek device, your fancy to beguile,
All to depict your elegance and grace;
But words are handicapped, for beauty seen
Through pens, that would eloquently describe;
A painter then, than writer should I've been,
Or both arts' essences my drinks imbibe;
………But loving heart in both needs to reside,
………All other endowments, I waive aside.
