Love Sonnet 95: 'When Good Fortune Eludes A Caring Heart, ' - Poem by Reyvrex Questor Reyes

When Good Fortune Eludes A Caring Heart,
And love, or lack thereof, causes a blight,
The lovers sworn to vow that's torn apart,
Will hardly keep their joys from taking flight;
Remembered tenderness of happier days,
Intensifies the pains of loneliness,
The dearth of ardent arms to hold relays
Feelings of loss, despair and emptiness;
Such fate befalls a heart disgraced by fault,
Not its own, but by vagary of life,
That on the mirth mounts an assault,
Inflicting souls caught haplessly in strife;
.......If days were frozen crisp with joys intact,
.......So only will good fortune not detract.
