Love Sonnet 98: 'We All Travel On Paths Of Each His Own, '

We all travel on paths of each his own,
To goals we mark to reach at their due time,
Cycle of life that must go up and down,
Assures order decreed by one, sublime;
As tide rises, it ebbs the distant shores,
Like love that one loses and others gain,
Mountains crumble to sea, balance restores,
The prodigal returns to ease the pain;
But these require some time, for transition,
How soon would stage transform for the better,
No matter how great the execution,
It leaves alleys, blind, to reconsider;
.....The world turns round, that though far as can be,
.....The next turning brings her around to me.

Poem of the Day

poet Christina Georgina Rossetti

Where sunless rivers weep
Their waves into the deep,
She sleeps a charmed sleep:
Awake her not.
Led by a single star,
She came from very far
