Love Stained - Poem by Paulina LozadaCortez

I stare at you,
You smile back at me,
I just wish it was meant to be.

I think of you,
You talk to me,
Why can't you just make this easy?

I wonder why it is that when my day
Is not going my way,
You find a way to put a smile on my face.
And that smile stays until we part ways,
And all that's left of the happiness that you gave,
Is my love for you that soon won't fade.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

I wrote this poem in school just sitting in Language Arts one morning not too long ago. This was inspired by someone who is very dear to my heart, and he's the first person in a very long time that can make me happy, who makes me feel loved and desired, who can make me smile, without even trying.
