Love Story (10) (How We Met 1) Poem by U Win Kyi

Love Story (10) (How We Met 1)

There was a road-side food stall
selling fried oyster and meat ball.
The business was so good and brisk.
It was difficult to find a vacant seat to sit.
The customers had to share a table with strangers,
so long as they could eat, it was no matter.

One day a man and woman,
sitting at a table,
unknown to each other,
totally stranger.
She was eating with a chopstick.
She picked up a meat ball and it slipped,
dropped and bounced into the man's plate.
A profuse apology she rapidly made.
But for him it was not a problem.
They became knowing each other.
During the following 3 years,
friendship became lover,
which in turn became life partner.

They regularly visit that shop,
inviting a big smile from the boss.
The ' how we met' story will be retold and retold,
to their grandchildren until they get very old.
The story came in a funny way
in which the Cupid had a big play.

(the readers are requested to tell their 'how we met ' story)

CUPID used a meatball instead of an arrow.
