Love Train Poem by Mark Hopwood

Love Train

As my mind lies in the brightness of the night
And the lies cast shadows onto the truth
The morning sun shines through the darkness of the light
Along my lonely journey of life
Looking for a sign that it'll be alright.

There's dust in my soul it's gathering fast
Blinding me like a shroud of thick cloth
The hole expands as the spell is cast
As the lonely journey of life is destined to last
Looking for a sign that the pain has past.

Standing at the station
Waiting for my love train to arrive
I feel my dreams
And watch them disintegrate before my eyes
Waiting for my love train to arrive
Standing at the station like a wallflower
Waiting hour after hour after hour.
