Love-Washed Poem by Wandering Scarlet

Love-Washed

Rating: 5.0

heart ridden
love forbidden
you stole my heart
pierced my like a poison dart
your poison flowing through my vein
taking my mind insane
my heart you stole
left me dumber than a pole
blinded by loves illusion
i found no solution
i ran blind folded
as my heart you molded
my life was yours
for your love i faught wars
endless battles raged
but our love was only staged
you ran off with a man far more rich
my hart you left in the ditch
i wept foolishly in the rain
i did not understand this kind of pain
and as you dissapeared in the distance
i did not feel your hearts resistance
i had not realized you tricked me with a lie
and so I only stood, stupid and high
