Love, you've played around with my heart.
You've toyed with me right from the start.
Like a yo-yo you've had me up and down
and still I've always wanted you around.

When I was young I wondered of you.
Were you what they said? Was it true?
When I was ready to meet your demands
I had you right in the palm of my hands.

Sometimes I felt you slipping away.
It was at these times I learned to pray
'Love come back. I need you here.
I cannot stand your lack, I fear.'

Love, I've taken command of my heart.
I now know that you can't depart.
The yo-yo's gone as is my youth.
I've finally awakened to the truth.

Love will always come to you.
