A lover in a shallow pool,
Broken hearted, treated like a fool.
Continued the lies and hatred,
Dating someone who knew her best,
Ended up alone.
Feared the outside world,
Gathered her belongings to leave,
Hated being without him.
I could only imagine he was there.
Just a lover in a shallow pool.
