Lover Of My Soul Poem by Ayandare Mayowa

Lover Of My Soul

Lover of my soul
Shaper of my mould
He fills to the brim my bowl
Fans my dying coal
Oh, many testimonies untold
My shame cover he removed, sold
Shield me from this worldly cold
Welcomed amongst the sheepfold
And made me to be bold

Lover of my soul
Shaper of my mould
Gave me a new goal
Never hit the pole
Filled within me a hole
And made me to be whole

Lover of my soul
Shaper of my mould
Many transgressions, delays faced
Assured me it was only a phase
You put me back on the race
Squared my shoulder, my head you raised
Lover of my soul
Only you is worthy of praise
