Lover's Dream Poem by Ndina Kamaro Muofhe

Lover's Dream

In the silent night, amid the scary darkness,
She falls like a shooting star
To the lands full of dreams about her,
Like an awaited ferry from farthest lands

To these deserts,
She is a peaceful breeze in the hottest summer day
And my umbrella in the strongest summer rain
As she gleams love by her ghostly wings
Touched heart dancing in joy
Like a deacon whose prayers were answered

By the wings of her love,
She saved a desperate stranded soul
And sowed bliss into a saddened heart.
